Elflords
Long ago, when Ahrikol first appeared in these realms, he swayed an elf to forge for him rings of power, with which he could control the hearts of the wearer. When the elf realized the evil intent of Ahrikol, he rebelled and created the Three Rings which Ahrikol could not control, for he had no part in the forging. To prevent the Three from falling into Ahrikol's hands, a group of the mightiest Elves were trained to fully use their abilities, the Elflords. Elflords are highly skilled fighters who have mastered the arts of temporal magic, chronomancy.

News
.---. / . \ |\_/| | | | /| .--------------------------------------------------------------------' | / .-. | | / \ Recently I made a few changes to the way Aliavelyrae get their | | |\_. | weapons. The old way was 'claim sword, claim spear, claim | |\| | /| armour' which is totally depricated. The new system allows | | `---' | an Aliavelyr to choose from a variety of weapon types, and | | | soon possibly new armour types as well. The new system is | | | as follows: | | | | | | claim <weapon type> -- Example: claim longsword | | | | | E | Determining the proper name of the weapon type is simple. | | L | | | F | claim available <skill> -- Example: claim available sword | | L | This provides an extensive list of all available swords. | | O | The same can be done for staff, shield, and unarmed combat. | | R | Other skills can be attempted but depending on the | | D | available weapons they may or may not come up with anything | | | useful. In order to get your armour, it is currently just | | N | 'claim armour' with no other types to choose from; this may | | E | change in the future. | | W | | | S | I've also updated some messages for the weapons, and the | | | colours and some minor cosmetics of the temporal aura, | | | which you may or may not notice. If you have any questions | | | feel free to ask. | | | | | | --Xekrin, Jan 24th 2007 | | | | | | Another update, Celebrimbor will automatically adjust your | | | requested hauberk armour to protect your wings, if you have | | | them; as long as they arent amputated or disabled and they | | | aren't already being protected by another piece of armour. | | | Celebrimbor is a thoughtful guy, and will do this without | | | you asking, and unless the above are true, you have no | | | choice but to accept this alteration. Elflord Abilities
Elflords are very skilled in many aspects of combat. It has also been noted that while in combat Elflords heal at an alarmingly quick rate. As well, Elflords can shift temporal fields to several different effects:
temporal body shift <target> will either strengthen or weaken the body of the target, increasing or decreasing their stats depending upon their virtue.
temporal location shift [destination] will return you home at Galadriel's Mirror, or back to the location you were previously at before teleporting home.
temporal aura shift <on | off> will either create or dissipate an aura that grants resistances to various forms of attack to the Elflord.
extend temporal aura <minimally | partially | mostly | fully> Once an Elflord has created a temporal aura he or she can extend its range to varying degrees and different effects. At the very least the aura will cause creatures within its sphere to glow according to their alignment. A partially extended aura will cause those with worthy ideals to be healed. A mostly extended aura will becomes violent and, when properly controlled by an Elflord skilled in telesma, a deadly weapon that one can use to strike all of one's opponents at once. Other effects might be achieved. Note that although the aura is temporal in nature, it can be influenced by other esoteric affinities had by the Elflord. Rumours have it that a heroic Elflord that has mastered chronomancy can push the aura so far as to cause his or her environment to travel back in time, resetting it to previous conditions.
infuse <amount> will convert <amount> percentage of the Elflord's spiritual energy into endurance.
Weapons and Armour
Elflords are also privileged to special items from Celebrimbor in Valathyr. When in Celebrimbor's shop, simply 'claim' them. There are a number of different weapons available:

Armour
Typing
claim armour
gets you
a silvery erivelin light mail hauberk
If you are a winged Elflord you should remove all other armor prior to requesting a hauberk, this will allow you to receive a hauberk that protects your wings as well.
Enhance
Once in possession of one of these items, weapon or armour, an Elflord can enhance it by typing:
enhance <item> [two handed]
Enhancing an item increases its effectiveness as well as activating certain powers in it that are otherwise inert. The number of items that may be enhanced increases with the level of the Elflord. To remove an enhancement from an item simply type, 'reclaim silmaril from <item>'.
Restrictions
The restrictions that result from these powers are as follows:
- Elflords must always dodge in combat and must maintain a good and ordered alignment.
- Due to the nature of the powers granted to the Elflords, they seem to be somewhat more susceptible to items made of iron than most other elves.
