Source Identification Contest
Now that someone has finally mapped out Tethys, the challenge is this: figure out what I based its shape on. This was attempted for a while on OOC channel, and evidently it's nothing particularly obvious to anyone. For further hints, it is also not anything stupid or ridiculous, and it is something that not everyone knows about.
The contest rules are this: in each round, a given person may make one answer. Add your entries here, to the bottom of this section, and sign them (with ~~~~). A round ends whenever I add a line indicating that none of the above answers are correct, after which everyone may make another answer. The first person to give the correct answer wins a valuable item for the character of his or her choice. Obviously, you may not repeat another person's answer, since if it is correct, they've already won. Let the games begin... —Chaos 11:59, 9 May 2008 (EDT)

None of the above answers are correct. But I love the hypertorus brane and Logrus ones. Round Two. —Chaos 10:43, 10 May 2008 (EDT)

It appears to be the symbol for infinity, usually used in mathematics. --Kian 09:32, 11 May 2008 (EDT)
hmm ... well sticking with arcane goemetrics how about a hyperbolic paraboloid (which is the shape of a "Pringle") also possibly the 2D analog of the 3D surface geometry of our universe in 4D spacetime if it is open (not enuff mass to cause the "big crunch"), which has a nice syncronicity with "Pringles" !! None of the above answers are correct. Seriously, no matter how many times you say "infinity symbol", it's still not going to be correct. Round Three. —Chaos 04:24, 12 May 2008 (EDT)
Chaos was half way through eating a giant pretzel and so made the zone in the shape of a half pretzel! I seen it in a vision! so that makes it true you can all stop guessing I win! honest! :p Ketsum 10:18, 12 May 2008 (EDT)
