*There are two types of lantern.
*They come in a variety of different materials, which have no bearing on their type.
*They either increase or decrease the illumination level of a room while they are lit.
*While lit, they are considered to be carried by you and are visible to those who look at you, though they do not occupy any equipment slot that I can identify.
*They will gradually consume oil while lit and need to be refilled.
