This is a broad-bladed longsword of exquisite craftsmanship. Its blade, guard, and hilt are
composed out of three interlocking pieces of polished steel. The hilt is slightly curved to
facilitate better thrusting and aiming, and is wrapped in midnight blue leather strips. Several
small holes line base of the blade, and a thin line of airy light seeps from a hairline gap between
the blade and the guard. There is a small silver switch where the hilt meets the guard. This is
Skyrender, a blade stolen from the Wayfarer by the sorceress Aislynn. It is said that she used a
lifetime's knowledge of gnomish clockwork technology and zephyrian magicks to subversively reforge
and re-enchant the blade with a xolyxas-fueled scithial engine. Like other Wayfarer cannon, one
can activate the sword by flipping the switch while it is wielded. While activated, one may fuel
it with small items composed of xolyxas by inserting them into the engine on the sword. It is
permeated by a pulsing chaotic glow. You estimate its value at about five thousand five hundred
gold.
