- | okay after looking into it, believe it or not, this is a quasi-deliberate feature of thought process keys. it's supposed to be a fully general mechanism. so if you have two things keyed to "visualize a square", then they will both happen. but in this particular case it's kind of weird that they should both be keyed, since there is some semantic ambiguity... i'll look into changing the syntax for one of them (probably stormlord to "bring" the lightning or something). - | There was a similar interaction between the Send charm and the Fetch wild talent. "Concentrate on sending my familiar to safety" would send the familiar to safety and also give a message like "You do not have a my familiar to safety." I don't have that character anymore though. I didn't use the Fetch sending much so I don't remember if that popped a message about not having a familiar identified by 'whatever'. --Fruri 10:57, 9 February 2010 (EST) | +

From experience with the Carrion Bird ranger's Entropic energy, it doesn't seem like this is scaled right (had hundreds of entropic energy iirc). Vitamancy DOES affect the max value of Extropic energy, it just seems a bit out of whack compared to Holy. --Kaballah 17:24, 9 February 2010 (EST) you know what, judging from the attack cost, I guess this is working as you intended --Kaballah 17:32, 9 February 2010 (EST) </strike> | + | Similar to this, Darkhold giant rats cannot be tamed by giant rodent VV (same message). - | Turtles from Castigon swamp have zero Recovery skill (according to Chaos) - this results in really excessive downtime compared to the other familiars, although again I suppose the fault is in the map animal and not so much in the bond code. This is after the turtle's been leveled from 9 to 15, if it's still zero I'm pretty sure something is wrong. --Kaballah 14:48, 11 February 2010 (EST) | + | ====Tiger's Panoply of Firedarts special==== |

+ | On a skaven character in LDD, who has chaos affinity, I appear to be breathing pure chaos damage. When I've had phaethons in LDD, they breathed chaosfire - I think the breath weapon does not have a base damage type of fire, and isn't working the way you intended. I don't know what would happen if I had no affinity at all, I guess either it would do no damage or untyped damage (if such a thing is possible). This doesn't really bother me but I doubt it's working how you intended it to.--Kaballah 01:57, 6 March 2010 (EST)

- | <strike>Conversion rate of the Canalis charm is way out of whack compared to the damage delivered by the various special attacks - 100 to 3.6 at start, 100 to around 7 with 70ish elemental magick skills. If something costs 100 spellpoints it should be taking out enormous chunks of target health. --Kaballah 00:12, 1 February 2010 (EST) | + | Sable Lash now working :).. Apart from a tiny grammatical issue it's a great new manuever: |
+ | You <b>strikes</b> with blinding speed with your lotus-inscribed silvery steel katana at Bloodbane, connect with supreme precision and mutilate Bloodbane's torso.
- | Not necessarily. First of all, all your energy pools are in effect giving you bonus spell points (in terms of maximum capacity) to use on this stuff. Second of all, the conversion is only that bad because your skills for using that charm are horrible. Third of all, I tweaked the conversion rate of the charm slightly. Fourth of all, if the energy amounts need adjustment over time, I'll look at it. It's hard to compute a priori, since difference energies have different "potencies" (i.e. 1 point of elemental air is worth 5 points of spirit). - | <strike>The Canalis charm is a bit cryptic - the description in bond info says I can acquire fire, earth, etc types, but when I try to actually do the charm with a lower skilled character I get "You know of no 'fire' energy." The charm DOES work for my other character with higher mental stats/skills, so it looks like there is a skill check involved, but it's a bit mysterious - fairly sure it isn't the elemental -mancies, since I don't believe they get introduced until AFTER you fire some of the special attacks that Owl grants, but I don't see what other skill might be required (maybe arcane lore)? This could be more obvious as to why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. --Kaballah 00:46, 2 February 2010 (EST) | + | ==== Minor typo in Orthros bond fail message ==== |

Problems with empathic bonds, the Zetesai, and the Verynvelyrae
Please report them here. Thanks. Msb 16:46, 27 January 2010 (EST)
Looks like the syntax for this collides with stormlord call lightning.
concentrate on calling my familiar vs. concentrate on calling lighnting down upon <target>
- can you describe in more detail what happens? Msb 21:13, 8 February 2010 (EST)
- It executes both abilities when you try to call lightning.
- command: concentrate on calling lightning down upon foo
- What foo? You have no familiar identified by 'lightning down upon foo' that you can call in this manner. Gargoyle 06:36, 9 February 2010 (EST)
- okay after looking into it, believe it or not, this is a quasi-deliberate feature of thought process keys. it's supposed to be a fully general mechanism. so if you have two things keyed to "visualize a square", then they will both happen. but in this particular case it's kind of weird that they should both be keyed, since there is some semantic ambiguity... i'll look into changing the syntax for one of them (probably stormlord to "bring" the lightning or something). Msb 09:01, 9 February 2010 (EST)
- There was a similar interaction between the Send charm and the Fetch wild talent. --Fruri 10:57, 9 February 2010 (EST)

The resource cost for this attack seems excessively high, I think something is wrong with it. It costs 37 points of fire energy to throw. I realize it's a powerful attack, but compared to cheetah's lightning attack (costs 1 electrical) the cost seems wrong, it's not 37 times more powerful after all.--Kaballah 09:59, 28 February 2010 (EST) NOT A BUG. Seriously, exercise some judgment. Msb 11:09, 28 February 2010 (EST)
Special attack suspend status not retained across incarnations
Not a big deal, but when a familiar-granted special is suspended, and the character reincarnates, it is no longer suspended. Since 'breathe' retains this status across logins, maybe this is fixable? At any rate it's not a big deal. Attack priority is retained as you'd expect.--Kaballah 11:08, 4 March 2010 (EST)
Funny pronoun in Pachyderm bond fail info
"You sense a lack of social regard from the female mastodon, as though her considers you ignorant about what it takes to be a member of a community."--Kaballah 18:11, 4 March 2010 (EST)
- sorry that's bond failure info, not imagine info
Breathe attack granted by Firelizard
On a skaven character in LDD, who has chaos affinity, I appear to be breathing pure chaos damage.
- yeah I just compared this to a powrie/pyx zetesai character who also has a breathe attack, and she breathes chaosfire with no other type of affinity skill, so this is not working the same way.--Kaballah 09:04, 6 March 2010 (EST)
Heron Bond - Sable Lash
Received new manuever for Heron bond and it seems to give the error [heart beat exception: heart beat for object /usr/rylar had error Skill 255 not supported as special skill in object def/descriptor/rating_factor program def/descriptor/rating_factor.c line 266]. This occurs in combat, as well as when showing attack and damge ratings for the new maneuver.
Sable Lash now working :).. Apart from a tiny grammatical issue it's a great new manuever: You strikes with blinding speed with your lotus-inscribed silvery steel katana at Bloodbane, connect with supreme precision and mutilate Bloodbane's torso.
Elicat Tetrakolumbos odd succor message
The tetrakolumbos the tetrakolumbos flies in front of you to protect you from a yellow-skinned male hobgoblin sergeant and a few yellow-skinned male hobgoblin corporals. (when nicknamed, the same thing happens, name of the creature shows two times)--Kaballah 17:10, 8 March 2010 (EST)
Firelizard bond fail message seems to be blank/default
You sense that the orange winged lizard is not willing (or perhaps not able) to bond with you, that you are failing to meet some requirement needed to bond with it.
Pretty sure you intended these to be a bit more informative, that looks a default to me.--Kaballah 20:00, 10 March 2010 (EST)
Minor typo in Orthros bond fail message
You sense that the huge black two-headed dog feels as though it could see you coming and outmaneuver you, as though you have an unsufficient sense of your surroundings.--Kaballah 20:25, 10 March 2010 (EST)

Carrion Bird's Banshee hand damage is extropic
Pretty certain you intended the hand damage to be entropic. Also a little thing, her native language is Anglic and she does not speak sperethiel. Neither of these bother me but I'm sure they're not as you intended.--Kaballah 14:30, 13 March 2010 (EST)
- it also seems a bit odd that she can't see in the dark, whether by paravision or plain old night vision, but that doesn't really bother me either (fixable with item)--Kaballah 19:19, 13 March 2010 (EST)
- That the banshee has spec 23 Extropic Affinity was also a bit surprising--Kaballah 21:52, 15 March 2010 (EDT)Link title
Summon limit problem
I conjured a banshee, and then disincarnated with the banshee not kept - now the banshee is no longer my follower, but I can't summon another since it thinks I have an active follower. I can see this has the useful side effect of curbing people abusing powerful followers in swarming areas, but it kinda leaves the character stuck without the follower until next reboot. I think this will apply to other types of summon/conjure besides banshee.--Kaballah 21:24, 13 March 2010 (EST)
- killing the free banshee with another character did not clear the limit, fairly sure that's a bug.--Kaballah 21:29, 13 March 2010 (EST)
This seems to persist even across reboots.--Kaballah 10:18, 16 March 2010 (EDT)
Panther's Infuse Thrown charm
On trying to infuse a twyrali purchased from Shadowmyrk's shop:
There are no such projectiles here. That doesn't make sense.
I'll try other throwing type items but I can't actually think of any other regular places to get such things, will also try with throwing knives.--Kaballah 17:03, 15 March 2010 (EDT)
- tried a variety of things, including throwing knives and Hanoman darts (which I don't think would work anyway since they seem to be order infused) but I get the same message, "no such projectiles".--Kaballah 21:11, 15 March 2010 (EDT)
Phoenix's Renew charm and experience points
It looks like when this charm does damage, the player gets no xp for that damage dealt - and when you kill something 100% with this charm, as can often happen when you have multiple opponents, you frequently get zero xp. I am pretty sure this is a bug.--Kaballah 02:06, 21 March 2010 (EDT)
Apagion's Magickal resource energy
There does not seem to be any magic skill associated with figuring this resource's maximum, only Magick Affinity. Of all the resources I've seen, this is the only one I'm aware of that doesn't have a -mancy skill tied to it, so I'm pretty sure this is a bug (please don't scream at me if it isn't).--Kaballah 20:55, 26 March 2010 (EDT)
- err, it seems that evocation is the appropriate skill (Lysator gave me bad information it seems). No access to it though.--Kaballah 00:08, 27 March 2010 (EDT)
Tamed apagiontes kill players!
Twice now I've had tamed apagiontes automatically attack other players - I am fairly sure these are 'wild' apagiontes that were tamed from exoma random spawns. I don't know if this is of concern to you but it's certainly awkward.--Kaballah 02:14, 28 March 2010 (EDT)
Coven Owl Special Attacks
The special attacks such as
Wisp of Moonfire Stream of Elemental Air Stream of Elemental Water Jet of Stormwater Bolt of Elemental Earth Gout of Fire Blast of Earthfury
etc ...
only seem to give one instance of any type then are 'unaccessable' unless player relogs.
no error messages or feedback given when attempting to use any of these attacks a second time.
