-	Penguins are flightless seabirds adapted to cold climates and aquatic living. Though often seen as adorably clumsy on land, they are superbly maneuverable underwater, with their wings -- no longer usable for flight -- functioning as flippers. Their distinctive black-and-white coloring is actually camouflage, making it difficult for a predator viewing them from below in the water to distinguish them from the play of light on the surface. Penguin familiars imbue their Rangers with a variety of their abilities, including a great natural talent for regulating their bodily functions and reasonable social skills, as well as their underwater-adapted night vision. The esoteric ability to replenish the breath of themselves and nearby friends is also conferred.	+
