This creature looks like some foul hybrid of bird and insect, being vaguely anthropoid in outline but with a bulbous, protruding lower body. It has an alternately chitinous and fibrous, almost feathery outer covering, all black in color, with large sharp claws and a nasty-looking half-beaklike, half-sawtoothed jaw. Its wings are thin and leathery, looking incapable of supporting flight, but fly the thing does nonetheless.
