Class: Esoteric Skills Attribute: Perception Pedagogy: Procedural Practitioner Term: Combat Meditator Specialty Required: Degree I Special Maximum: unmodified combat reflexes skill, or unmodified meditation skill, whichever is lower Hidden Skill Practitioners of this skill are able to enter a kind of meditative trance in which their emotions are detached and their total attention is focused on the interplay of forces in combat -- that is, they are able to use the meditative combat mode. To enter this state, fight in balanced or studious combat mode, and your rating in this skill will determine when you are able to enter the trance state and how well you will be able to maintain it. Being injured or stunned can break your trance or make it harder to achieve in the first place, depending on the severity of the shock and your level of ability. If you wish to leave your combat meditation trance, switch to a combat mode other than balanced or studious. See Also: set combat mode, Meditation, situational awareness
