While I like the general Abjuration layout (since I tweaked it and all) I'm now thinking that the skilltrainer template is pointless. The ideal thing would be to write a MediaWiki extension that can pull the list of trainers from the skill's trainer category page, grab notated info from each of them (like are they a general/assoc/guild/quest trainer and do they have any specific notes for this skill) and format them. Keeping trainer pages up-to-date-ish might happen. Trainer listings on skill pages? I have my doubts. :) [[User:Valere|Valere]] 17:35, 25 April 2016 (EDT) | While I like the general Abjuration layout (since I tweaked it and all) I'm now thinking that the skilltrainer template is pointless. + | Thanks for your input, good to see someone taking interest. We'd probably have to talk to chaos about writing an extension and applying it to the wiki, maybe we can talk him into doing so but it'd probably be too much work compared to the payout. | ||
+ | I also took a look at Abjuration - I can't say I'm a huge fan of that particular setup, I think prefer the more compact and visually clean code box, though your method could be a viable replacement if it were more distinguishable from normal page content such as a list of notes. + | Tough to argue with differences in aesthetic taste. I'm more concerned about content than look for the most part anyway. If I find the time and ambition maybe I'll fiddle around with extension writing. [[User:Valere|Valere]] 03:51, 26 April 2016 (EDT) |
