This is the ancient Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistos, upon which the visionary father of
the magickal arts inscribed the core principles from which the myriad orders of modern-day mages
derive their systems of wonder-working. Above and beyond this historical value, many find
significance in the fact that the Thrice-Blessed encoded his symbolic insights into the tablet in
telesmic medium, empowering it to act as a potent esoteric weapon, and that many of its possessors
since that day have added their contributions to the invisible construct within, increasing its
power. Despite its diminutive size, this age-patina'd tablet of emerald symbolizes tremendous
power for those with the eyes to see it. You estimate that it is worth something upward of three
thousand five hundred gold.
It looks about a quarter of a dimin long, four fifths of a dimin wide, and nineteen twentieths
of a dimin tall. It weighs about three tenths of a dekan.
Those who know the nature of the tablet and are versed in the knowledge of symbology may
unleash its power by wielding it (requiring the command to be given as an override, e.g. 'wield
tablet!') and visualizing a star. The Emerald Tablet was created by Chaos, who wishes to credit

The writing is in Enochian, and reads:

                    The Precepts of Hermes Trismegistos

1. What I say is not fictitious, but reliable and true.

2. What is below is like that which is above, and what is above is like that
which i below. They work to accomplish the wonders of the one thing.

3. As all things were created by the one word of the one being, so all things
were created by the one thing by adaption.

4. Its father is the sun, and its mother the moon. The wind carries it in its
belly, and its nurse is the earth.

5. It is the father of perfection in the whole world.

6. The power is strong if it is changed into earth.

7. Seperate earth from fire, the subtle from the coarse, but be prudent and
   circumspect as you do it.

8. Use your mind to its full extent, and rise from earth to heaven, and then
descend again to the earth. Combine the powers of what is above and what
is below. Thus will you win glory in the whole world, and obscurity will
   leave you at once.

9. This has more virtue than virtue itself, because it controls every subtle
thing, and penetrates every solid thing.

10. This is the way the world was created.

11. This is the origin of the wonders that are here established.

12. This is why I am called "Thrice greatest Hermes", for I alone possess the
    three parts of cosmic philosophy.

13. What I had to say about the operation of the Sun is completed.
