The Runtling Race

   Rarity: Unusual
   Plural: Runtlings
Collective Term: a bumble of runtlings
   Anatomy: Anthropoid
   Sexes: Male, Female
   Harm Skills:
       Anatomy 38%
       Empathy 26%
       Intimidation 26%

Runtlings are simple beings resembling humans in shape, but diminutive -- both in stature and in intellect. They generally have a sunny demeanor and an apparently inborn lack of concern with danger and death, and can often be found living happy lives amid filth and squalor that would be intolerable to other races. They sometimes compete with skaven for living space, and since they lack the cunning and viciousness of the rat-men, the runtlings tend to wind up pushed into niches that the skaven find too dangerous to inhabit. They have a marked lack of susceptibility to disease and poison, but aside from this, they are of no more than ordinary fortitude and have no particular strength or craft to preserve them, and so suffer horrific attrition simply from the ongoing vicissitudes of life. Their continuing existence as a species is certainly due only to their prodigious reproductive capacity.

Development Information: The runtling race was created by Bannor and Chaos and is maintained by Lost Souls; the source code was last updated Fri Jan 18 00:35:27 2013.
