Phase Energize
Syntax : phase energize
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
One of the simplest and most important functions available to the Outsider is the ability to energize his entelechy -- the reality-echo of the broken pattern image within him. The entelechy is a field of power that supports and enables your reality-shaping abilities, and is particularly important to the creation and maintenance of phase replicates. Power directed into your entelechy can be drawn back out as well; see 'help phase draw'.
Phase Draw
Syntax : phase draw
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
Draws power from your entelechy to replenish your spirit. The energy you draw is that you previously channeled into your entelechy with 'phase energize'.
Phase To
Syntax : phase to mark <number>|<home>
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
This is one of the most basic applications of spatiomantic skill - the direct movement through reality from one place to another. An Outsider using this power can teleport either to a location or incarnos previously marked with the 'phase mark' power, or can return to the broken pattern at the Outsider hall.
Phase Strike
Syntax : phase strike [target] with <item>
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
This power allows the Outsider to phase an item directly into the form of hir foe, causing both physical damage and often a rather gruesome outcome.
Phase Realign
Syntax : phase realign
Minimum Space Power : expert
Minimum Time Power : skilled
By concentrating on the underlying nature of reality, the Outsider can change it by sheer force of will. This process is very intensive in all aspects, but is usually considered to be well worth the effort.
Phase Mark
Syntax : phase mark <number> <here>|<target>
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
This power casts a phase mark on either an area or incarnos in the Outsider's vicinity. Something marked like this can be viewed from afar by the 'phase view' power or teleported to directly with the 'phase to' power.
Syntax : phase mark list
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
This power gives the Outsider a list of what has been marked with the 'phase mark' power.
Phase View
Syntax : phase view mark <number>
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
This power simply lets the Outsider look through reality and view the environs of the location or incarnos marked with the 'phase mark' power.
Syntax : phase view <target>
Minimum Space Power : mediocre
Minimum Time Power : none
By directly analyzing the reality of an entity, an Outsider can gain knowledge of it directly, isomorphically mapping his mind onto the structure of its essence.
Phase In
Syntax : phase in
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
This simply negates the semi-physical state caused by the use of 'phase out'.
Phase Out
Syntax : phase out
Minimum Space Power : average
Minimum Time Power : average
This power allows the Outsider to slip between the planes of reality and assume an intangible, quasi-physical form. While phased out, an Outsider is immune to ordinary physical damage, need not breathe, is able to fly, and moves at an accelerated rate. Importantly, though ordinary physical beings can no longer affect you while phased out, you can still affect them, a deadly effect achieved by momentarily phasing weapons and parts of one's body fully into reality. However, the disconnection from reality prevents the recovery of spiritual energy, and most of the powers granted to an Outsider by the broken pattern image will not function while this power is in use. Phasing out creates a heavy, continuous drain on the Outsider's spiritual essence.
Phase Accelerate
Syntax : phase accelerate <on|off>
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : decent
While an Outsider has phase accelerate turned on, sie regenerates endurance and health faster than normal. However there is a continual spirit drain associated with the effect.
Phase Dilate
Syntax : phase dilate [target]
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
This power twists the time flow of the target, causing the ravages of time to attack the victim. This generates damage via aging and can alter the time flow around the target enough to slow his actions.
Phase Enhance
Syntax : phase enhance <off|willpower|awareness>
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
This is one of the most basic abilities of an Outsider. By simply bringing a mental image of the broken pattern to mind and concentrating on it, the Outsider can either enhance the strength of hir will or hir general awareness. However, no other abilities can be used while this power is in use. This ability has no associated cost and can be used under conditions that would prevent most powers from functioning.
Phase Replicate
Syntax : phase replicate <item>
Minimum Space Power : average
Minimum Time Power : none
This ability creates a copy of an item the Outsider possesses. The resultant item is not an exact copy, and may suffer some slight modifications in the process. It must be noted that the replicate is not completely of this plane and cannot be replicated further. However, the ability 'phase modify' allows an Outsider to make beneficial changes to replicated items.
Unique objects are very difficult to replicate in this fashion, but the masters of space manipulation are known to be able to copy even the mightiest of artifacts.
An Outsiders ability to create and maintain replicates is a function of the strength of his entelechy (see 'help phase energize' and 'help phase draw'). The more potent an item, the stronger one's entelechy must be in order to replicate it, and the greater an ongoing drain on the entelechy it will be to keep it in existence. Note that your entelechy is both part of yourself and part of the universal structure of reality, and it continues to exist when you are not incarnate, maintaining your replicates and being drained by maintaining them.
Phase Modify
Syntax : phase modify <item>
Minimum Space Power : decent
Minimum Time Power : none
This ability allows an Outsider to enhance a phase replicate. This ability only functions on items that are the result of a phase replication, but the effect is permanent - at least as long as the item exists.
Phase Scan
Syntax : phase scan [item]
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
This ability allows an Outsider to tell with a glance if any items sie may be carrying are not truly real and are instead phase replicates created by the 'phase replicate' power. The Outsider can also specifically look at a certain item to determine if it is a phase item.
Phase Info
Syntax : phase info
Minimum Space Power : none
Minimum Time Power : none
This is perhaps the simplest power given to the Outsiders. Its only effect is to grant the user insight into hir abilities (and the failure level caused by the residual presence of chaotic and non-magical items).
Phase Orient
Syntax : phase orient
Minimum Space Power : feeble
Minimum Time Power : none
This power allows the Outsider to determine their position in reality.
