Adding a quick note to help narrow down that arbitrary shit that is checked.
Had more than enough skills and various madnesses and had no luck. Went out and did some questing and exploring to get both over 10%, probably unimportant, but also did the The Dunwich Mystery as one of them and then when I had the madness that starts with the effect "You begin to feel strangely confused." I could bond the octopus.
