Scarabinium is an exotic, tremendously strong material apparently formed out of natural chitin somehow combined with adamantium. This material is highly prized by alchemists and other magickal researchers, many of whom have made prolonged, laborious, futile efforts to discover the process of its creation, though others have been discouraged by the sudden and horrific deaths of several such investigators.
