Problems with empathic bonds, the Zetesai, and the Verynvelyrae
Please report them here. Thanks. Msb 16:46, 27 January 2010 (EST)
Verynvelyrae
Charms
Call Familiar
Looks like the syntax for this collides with stormlord call lightning.
concentrate on calling my familiar vs. concentrate on calling lighnting down upon <target>
can you describe in more detail what happens? Msb 21:13, 8 February 2010 (EST)
It executes both abilities when you try to call lightning.
command: concentrate on calling lightning down upon foo
What foo? You have no familiar identified by 'lightning down upon foo' that you can call in this manner. Gargoyle 06:36, 9 February 2010 (EST)
okay after looking into it, believe it or not, this is a quasi-deliberate feature of thought process keys. it's supposed to be a fully general mechanism. so if you have two things keyed to "visualize a square", then they will both happen. but in this particular case it's kind of weird that they should both be keyed, since there is some semantic ambiguity... i'll look into changing the syntax for one of them (probably stormlord to "bring" the lightning or something). Msb 09:01, 9 February 2010 (EST)
There was a similar interaction between the Send charm and the Fetch wild talent. "Concentrate on sending my familiar to safety" would send the familiar to safety and also give a message like "You do not have a my familiar to safety." I don't have that character anymore though. I didn't use the Fetch sending much so I don't remember if that popped a message about not having a familiar identified by 'whatever'. --Fruri 10:57, 9 February 2010 (EST)
Fox Intangibility
typo: Your body unrarified and returns to a normal density. fixed Msb 21:13, 8 February 2010 (EST)
Phoenix Renew
Syntax is a little wonky: "the ability to burn your injuries away with fire. To do this, concentrate on on renewing myself." The syntax actually works this way too, the charm is usable, just requires "on on". --Kaballah 11:04, 10 February 2010 (EST)

Katakaleo Hydron
Problems with charms Katakaleo Geon and Katakaleo Hydron result in both of them erroring out when attempting to bring the summon in:

Familiars and Bonding
Kudzu broke a bond with an alligator familiar, and the familiar didn't die --Kaballah 22:47, 7 February 2010 (EST) need more details to reproduce... Msb 14:26, 8 February 2010 (EST)
Elicat grants a number of affinities and resists, but they require assigned specialty points to start rather than just granting bonus specs like all the others I've seen. Is this intended? --Kaballah 01:36, 8 February 2010 (EST) yes, at first Msb 14:25, 8 February 2010 (EST)
Elicat's Extropic resource energy seems like it isn't being calculated correctly - with 28 in Vitamancy, 68 Extropic Affinity, I get 37.5 Extropic energy, while with 30 Albimancy and 68 Holy Purity, I have 133 Holy energy. From experience with the Carrion Bird ranger's Entropic energy, it doesn't seem like this is scaled right (had hundreds of entropic energy iirc). Vitamancy DOES affect the max value of Extropic energy, it just seems a bit out of whack compared to Holy. --Kaballah 17:24, 9 February 2010 (EST) you know what, judging from the attack cost, I guess this is working as you intended --Kaballah 17:32, 9 February 2010 (EST)
Addtionally, it seems like Vitamancy specialty access should be given for elicat but isn't, was that an oversight? --Kaballah 17:31, 9 February 2010 (EST)
Small typo in the Darkhold phoenix's combat chat:
"Tempest brings your wings around, violently buffeting you 2." (fault is in the Darkhold phoenix's code I suppose) --Kaballah 00:45, 10 February 2010 (EST) Another typo: "Tempest screams hatefully at you 2." --Kaballah 01:00, 10 February 2010 (EST)
- Fixed for future instances of the Darkhold phoenix. If existing ones are to be fixed, it will require case-by-case intervention. —Chaos 04:33, 10 February 2010 (EST)
- not an issue for me, I remade that character, and I don't think anybody else got it bonded since you fixed it--Kaballah 06:20, 10 February 2010 (EST)
Phoenix's first tier elemental attack does not appear to use ANY skill for its primary attack rating calculation, I don't think this was intended. It uses fractions of generalist skills and attributes only. --Kaballah 11:18, 10 February 2010 (EST) Either this is fixed, or it was just that I had 0 skill so it wasn't appearing in the table, works fine --Kaballah 12:30, 10 February 2010 (EST)
Turtles from Castigon swamp have zero Recovery skill (according to Chaos) - this results in really excessive downtime compared to the other familiars, although again I suppose the fault is in the map animal and not so much in the bond code. This is after the turtle's been leveled from 9 to 15, if it's still zero I'm pretty sure something is wrong. --Kaballah 14:48, 11 February 2010 (EST) not going to micromanage the initial skill settings of every monster file that can be made a familiar in the entire game. Msb 16:25, 11 February 2010 (EST)
Zetesai
Charms
Inspire wasn't working. Jensendied 03:17, 28 January 2010 (EST)
"Replenish Glands" charm (from Drake) does not seem to work. Gives "no noticeable effect" message.
Coven "Summon Loamflage" charm gave me a bug (logged)
Conversion rate of the Canalis charm is way out of whack compared to the damage delivered by the various special attacks - 100 to 3.6 at start, 100 to around 7 with 70ish elemental magick skills. If something costs 100 spellpoints it should be taking out enormous chunks of target health. --Kaballah 00:12, 1 February 2010 (EST)
Not necessarily. First of all, all your energy pools are in effect giving you bonus spell points (in terms of maximum capacity) to use on this stuff. Second of all, the conversion is only that bad because your skills for using that charm are horrible. Third of all, I tweaked the conversion rate of the charm slightly. Fourth of all, if the energy amounts need adjustment over time, I'll look at it. It's hard to compute a priori, since difference energies have different "potencies" (i.e. 1 point of elemental air is worth 5 points of spirit). Msb 11:16, 1 February 2010 (EST)
Current conversion rate after the tweak is much more agreeable, it's not like it's free but you don't burn the whole load killing a couple of rats either. Good change.--Kaballah 00:47, 2 February 2010 (EST)
The Canalis charm is a bit cryptic - the description in bond info says I can acquire fire, earth, etc types, but when I try to actually do the charm with a lower skilled character I get "You know of no 'fire' energy." The charm DOES work for my other character with higher mental stats/skills, so it looks like there is a skill check involved, but it's a bit mysterious - fairly sure it isn't the elemental -mancies, since I don't believe they get introduced until AFTER you fire some of the special attacks that Owl grants, but I don't see what other skill might be required (maybe arcane lore)? This could be more obvious as to why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. --Kaballah 00:46, 2 February 2010 (EST)
would help if I used the correct syntax "elemental fire" etc--Kaballah 01:47, 2 February 2010 (EST)
The apagion "Channel Magick" attack maneuver does not use the Ergimancy skill, unlike the other attacks of the same type I've seen (Owl's e.g.) - would be nice to have some ability that actually used Ergimancy in the early-mid progression, although it does increase the Magick resource capacity, and would be more consistent with the other attack maneuvers. --Kaballah 20:58, 3 February 2010 (EST) This is deliberate and a little bit annoying to have reported on this problem page. Please keep it to bugs (either actual errors or things apparently not behaving as intended), typos, message discrepancies, and so on... thanks Msb 22:15, 3 February 2010 (EST)
genuinely thought that was an oversight, sorry. --Kaballah 04:20, 4 February 2010 (EST)
Micropharmikon: "A soft white glow forms between} you and Mentos and then drifts towards you." (mismatched brace) --Kaballah 07:27, 3 February 2010 (EST) fixed, thanks Msb 09:07, 3 February 2010 (EST)
Starsee: Is the buff supposed to be applied to the familiar as well as the owner? Seems like it should be, like surge is, but it doesn't seem to grant the familiar astral perception - this isn't a feature suggestion, I think this may be an oversight? --Kaballah 19:08, 8 February 2010 (EST) not an oversight Msb 21:14, 8 February 2010 (EST)

Using the White Maiden illuminate arrow charm gives the message that I do not have enough entropic energy. Should be radiant energy, no? --12:28, 6 February 2010 (EST) fixed this and numerous related bugs Msb 12:37, 6 February 2010 (EST)

Steel Serpents
On the score page it says "Type 'help Steel Serpents' for information. Returns "No help is available on that topic."
On "list channels" the serpent channel is listed as "serpents", should just be "serpent"
