Standard Information

Liathyr, city of the haughty Noldor elves, suffers great embarrassment from the rats that infest its sewers, occasionally overrunning them and spilling out into the city streets. Seek out Fayn, the city clerk, and ask him about what you can do to help with the rats.

You have to talk to Fayn during the daylight, in city hall, which is on Lome St, just south of Feanor St (-1, -1, 0). If he isn't there, then he's in his apartment building and you can "break door" to get in -- found him at (-5, -4, 3) -- on Teltasse St., 3rd floor.

When done killing approximately 12 rats and the amulet has recorded all those killings (it will change from pulsing to vibrating when you have enough kills), "give amulet to Fayn."

While previously it was possible to advance this quest pacifistically by just hanging around a slain rat, you must now properly be joined in battle with the rat you plan to take credit for. Taking damage from an attack, or causing a limb to be damaged via deflection both 'count' but don't award you the kill.
