Loadstone

Random load, sometimes in shops. Also likely to be foraged because the world is cruel.

This is a small, irregularly shaped basalt rock.  You recognize it as a loadstone, an object devised by some twisted mind for no apparent purpose
beyond tormenting the unwary.  The innocuous-looking little rock is incredibly heavy, and as soon as one touches it to pick it up, its curse takes effect,
binding it to its newly-burdened victim.  You appraise it at less than one gold.  
It is in perfect condition.  
It looks about three twentieths of a dimin across.  It weighs about two and seventeen twentieths dekans.

After a moment, the knowledge that the loadstone is composed of eighty-seven percent basalt and twelve percent dweomer drifts into your mind
like a long-forgotten memory.
