Question 1: How do you feel about the new 'keep' option?

80% were simply positive. Other comments recieved were:

"I don't like it. I decreases the competitiveness", "I like it, but only because it is so limited. If it let players keep any more than they now can, I wouldn't like it."

There were other responses, but they only had one vote each.

a Question 2: If there was a new area to be added to Lost Souls, what would you like it to be?

___Responses___ ___Ideas___
Underwater City Underwater City
A City like Yathryn, but with a good race Maybe the U City, populated by Quessae
New world entirely, no exchanges Dream Domain?
Homeland for Yeti Kathmanduc -- In Works
Hero-only City, tough NPCs Ruins of Palanthas?
Homeland for Garou <shrug>
Homeland for Minotaur Rasud's possible area
Arcadia No Idea

The rest of the responses were 'No comment's.

Question 3 may prove the most personal, but possibly the most beneficial. I am submitting the names of the named wizards, but they will be removed if a request is made.

Question 3: Is there a particular wizard which is troubling you (if so, who and how), or do you have a problem with the wizards in general?

Responses:

Many people insisted on more privacy. There were responses addressing the fact that players knew that certain wizards (which I will reveal their names to the arches) are spying on them at certain times.

Some players have had a problem with Chaos' attitude lately.

Some people believe that the wizards aren't open enough to players suggestions.

Some people believe that the wizards have made the mud to player-hostile.

Many poeple, howerver, had no complaints. Over 50%.

September 15 1994 Survey

Question 1: What is your favorite association in Lost Souls? Please take into account usefulness, fun, theme, and social aspects. 25% of those polled either had no comment, or were not in any associations.

Rebels -- 40%

LDD -- 30%

Explorer -- 5%

I think these results spawn from the way I handle the rebels. I call it, 'active ownership'. I interact with the Syllyac rebels quite often, giving them ideas, thematic advice, etc. You'd be amazed at how much it effects them when I say, for example, 'The ones who inhabit Sanctuary are slavers! (which they are) They are against everything we stand for! Cleanse the city of it's wicked inhabitants, and the participants will each recieve a Rebel Promo. The Rebel ranking system helps to reward good, role-playing characters.

2: Which quest is your least favorite -- the one you dislike the most?

I think you can guess the results. =)

Devon_Murder -- 45%

Holy_Dagger -- 30%

Maze_Quest -- 10%

Lost_Kentaur -- 5%

Power_Potion -- 5%

Unicorn_Quest -- 5%

We've known for a while the players don't like the Devonshire murder. Players also dislike the holy_dagger, because finding the white shawl is very, very tedious now that the map has been enlarged. Maze_quest is.... a maze_quest. No point to it, no thought involved. The other three are personal choices, I think. The reason I asked this question was because the Selkie_quest is opening when the NLs are finished, and we have the option of removing a quest to make room for it.

3: What is your favorite area? Take into account atmosphere, experience, and fun.

Shadow Tower -- 20%

(The late) R'lyeh -- 15%

Discordia -- 15%

Yathryn -- 10%

Camelot -- 5%

Shadowmyrk -- 5%

Valathyr -- 5%

Losthaven -- 5%

No Comment -- 20%

This question was designed to find out why players like certain areas and not others. There are areas like Thessalae, which are understandable enough -- but you don't see many people in Kolond, which isn't dangerous in the same way. I guess that they like Shadow Tower because the variety of opponents can suit all --- levels and alignments. R'lyeh was popular as a killing ground for heroes (if you hadn't guessed), and, of course, Discordian is wonderful in itself..... The others are personal choices, based on level and personality.
