This skill represents the infusion of an essence of the amalgam ice into the substance of one's body, reducing the harm caused by such forces, potentially even to the point where exposure becomes restorative. This is also true, to a lesser extent, of entropy, elemental air and water, and the amalgams mist, void, salt, cold, alkali, and shadow. One further gains the capacity to store a reserve of amalgamal ice energy, in proportion to one's degree of affinity, should one have access to sources of it. However, the greater an affinity for ice one develops, the more vulnerable one becomes to the amalgam thunder, and to a lesser degree extropy, the amalgams magma, lightning, and steam, elemental earth and fire, and the amalgams heat, acid, and nitre.
