Miraculously, even while doused in flammable liquid and completely engulfed in flames, the infant faerie managed to survive unscathed – this, of course, is what led Flezra and Askeen to name him Incendiary in the first place. Being ritual magicians, they determined through conversing with the Elemental King Djinn that Incendiary had been blessed with extraordinary gifts – ones which the faeries themselves had likely feared.
