Protas Area Speedruns

  • failure to follow directions can result in DEATH
  • Please note these are a work in progress
  • ETF-or Estimated Time to Finish depends on your speed i.e. the faster your speed the less time required. At 45 speed it took me about 15 minutes to complete the run. Your time may vary.
  • Minor editing may be required to get format from wiki to line up with CMud

Contents

Continents

Oceans

  • these aliases are designed to be used by cmud
  • Oceans start at (40, 40, 0)
  • ALL Oceans require flight for speedrun to finish

Steps

Step 5) Don't Forget to Save!

Landmasses

So for landmasses you will want to basically follow the same steps as for the oceans, with a few changes.

1) Immateriality is required. Because of Elevation changes, you will spend a significant amount of time traveling through the earth.

2) Turn off Terrain Follow mode. The speedrun cannot function properly if you are using terrain follow mode.

3) You will have to complete several runs to get a continent or overland area complete. Be Patient.

4) Some Areas will be easier than others. Cimbra/Korindim is a nightmare, where as skarlan was quite easy.

5) When you get to elevations 3 and 4 it might be beneficial to look at the map for the area on the wiki and use some kind of in game mapping, vis a via ambience ability for aligned or a panoramicon. This will allow you to focus in on the areas that you need, vs. hundreds of rooms of air for a few rooms that you need.

6) The continents at elevations 3 and 4 are layed out quiet easy to follow using mapping abilities, use a methodical grid system method, and it should be quite easy.

7) Do not worry about getting 100% completion on all areas, 92% to 97% is quite good enough.
