Skarlan is the section of Esartur that lies the closest to the mainlands of Almeria, and as such, is usually used as a staging ground for the dark armies before the try to cross the Atalantic Ocean in an effort to strike out against the oppressive forces of the light. It is also from within Yevath that Ahrikol coordinates his long struggle to unify the world under his rule.
