Line 1: Line 1:
-There were several issues with the first Pet Shoppe that will need to be addressed before I can expand out into other cities with the concept.
-1.) The chats were atrocious, especially on the monkey.
-
-2.) Someone brought up that the limit was 'stupid', since you could buy 15 spiders and the shop would also be out of iguanas.
-
-3.) People were bitching about there being a limit. The limit will still stand, if for no other reason than someone will stockpile a few million gold and buy 10000 monkies, go on a rampage, and shut down the mud due to the lag.
-
-4.) Spider would explode if they tried to bite anything that had resistance.
-
-5.) The rooms themselves can be recoded to make better use of materials, properties, forms, conditions, responses, etc, so that the environment itself can be more interactive, especially considering upcoming spells and guildwork.
-
-6.) I have since figured out how to create a wider variety of species and breeds.
-
-7.) I have since discovered how to simulate pack tactics, which I didn't include in this version because I didn't plan on people buying a huge pack of anything other than hounds.
-
-8.) The combat code can be redone to be more effective, more efficient, and more colourful.
-
-9.) This was an intro project, and after coding up the Northlands, most of Avalon, and half of Devonshire, I have picked up several methods and techniques which could be applied to the follower code here.
-
-10.) There have been several significant updates to the mud itself since this project was initially released that I can add in.
-
-11.) There are a few more pets and items that I have wanted to add to it, like war collars, specialized armours, training tools, stupidly demeaning outfits, and follower specific items.
-
-Don't expect to see this re-opened anytime in the near future. There are a lot of issues to cover.
