   Adrenal glands are fleshy spheroid organs utilized by many organisms for
the production and storage of various hormones, the most well-known of which
is adrenaline.  Adrenal glands, as implied by their name, are located
proximate to the kidneys in most organisms which possess them, although this
may vary.
