By attuning your starshadow aura to the elements, you can enjoy a limited amount of protection from attacks utilizing the basic energies of those elements - fire, earth, air, and water, as well as other energies derived from such elements. The better your skill at controlling your aura and the higher your ascendancy, the greater the protection.
