Wyrms are a rare breed of draconic creatures, easily
recognizable by their
lack of limbs and ability to glide through the air with
no obvious means of
flight. Wyrms live lifespans similar to that of dragons
and are equally
intelligent, though often portrayed in legend as wise
mentors or cruel
masterminds, represented in cultures all throughout the
world. Physically,
their lack of limbs renders the wyrm a less formidable
opponent in melee
combat, though their scales are said to be much harder to
pierce than those of
a dragon. Wyrms are known to take up a wide variety of
environments, but are
notable for their ability to swim and breathe underwater.
They
possess the ability to breathe fire as their draconic kin
do, but can also
spit potent venom at their adversaries.
