Makes sense. I was basically filling in the gaps--and noticed 5 of the existing ranger familiar abilities were flagged with their own category -- and 3 were combined with traits...and the rest weren't. I wasn't sure where to go with this really, but it wouldn't be so bad to make these all (Ranger Abilities) and pull out the familiar-granted descriptions from traits. | Makes sense. I made these '(Familiar Powers)' figuring that if, for some crazy reason, in the future, there were other guilds with powers that overlapped (another familiar granting X) then there wouldn't be a second set of untangling to do; and also because there was already both '(Familiar Powers)' and '(Ranger Abilities)' and so, uh, yeah. In retrospect, maybe I got it backwards, but "Flight" was the only thing that was marked either way ('Flight (Familiar Power)') so...yeah. Sigh. If someone hates that they're X (Familar Powers) instead of the converse, I apologize. | ||

Suggest that these should maybe be e.g. Create ioun stone (Ranger ability). —Chaos 09:39, 10 April 2008 (EDT)
To expand slightly, what causes the most having to go back and painfully rearrange things later is when guilds or whatever with a particular view on the topic don't bother anticipating that the topic may have meaning outside of their context. Possibly the most egregious example of this so far has been the topic Blood being an Ordo Malefici help file. Invisibility being a Ranger help file is a significant percentage as bad, though. —Chaos 09:41, 10 April 2008 (EDT)

So, I was trying to think ahead.
My desire is primarily in trying to add decent new stuff up here, and trying to do so in a manner that causes the least shuffling around/annoyance for others.
And so trying to update things to match new stuff for the wiki (like all this categorization and so on). --Ryal 19:39, 17 April 2008 (EDT)
