Tame Charm
Aptitude Formula : 40% of empathy skill plus 40% of leadership skill plus 20% of enchantment skill plus 20% of willpower plus 80% of charisma Aptitude Minimum : 0 Aptitude Maximum : 500 Energy Costs : one hundred eighty-five points of spiritual energy Charm Evocation Process : concentrate on taming <target>
This power enables a ranger to tame other creatures of his familiar type. These tamed creatures won't have any of the benefits of the magical empathic bond characteristic of familiars, but they will be suitable followers and companions nonetheless. The process is not perfect, and various factors (such as prior ownership) might prevent the taming process from working. Some familiar types are sovereign over others for the purposes of taming. If one's familiar has sovereignty (as specified in their help file), one will be able to tame a broader variety of creatures.
