This skill represents the infusion of an essence of the amalgam shadow into the substance of one's body, reducing the harm caused it and things that partake of its nature, potentially even to the point where exposure becomes restorative. One further gains the capacity to store a reserve of amalgamal shadow energy, in proportion to one's degree of affinity, should one have access to sources of it. However, the greater one's affinity for shadow becomes, the more one becomes vulnerable, in some degree, to the amalgams metal, stone, light, darkness, thunder, cold, acid, and alkali. Shadow affinity can be increased by exposure to shadow damage, wind, extropy, entropy, earth damage, fire damage, or water damage, as well as degraded by exposure to thunder damage, acid damage, darkness damage, alkali damage, cold damage, stone damage, light damage, or metal damage, changing more quickly according to one's somatic adaptability.
