Confidence reflects your overall belief that your actions will be effective.  Naturally this varies considerably based on your
experiences -- someone who has recently had a great triumph will ordinarily feel a boost in confidence, while a crushing defeat will
normally undermine it.  Your natural confidence is a bias in this; people with a high natural confidence will be more confident
under most circumstances than others with lower natural confidence.  Very high natural confidence is quite rightly considered
overconfidence, and severe underconfidence can be nearly crippling.
