- Notes
King Vestitus says, <:-- I tell you what, if you can prove yourself to the old sage in Devonshire, I might consider offering you my tutelage. He's an old friend of mine, and can easily weed out the fools from those who would actually want to learn. --:> to you.
King Vestitus says, <:-- I can provide instruction in cold tolerance, diplomacy, hardiness, heat tolerance, intelligence analysis, intimidation, leadership, logistics, ownership, philosophy, strategy, subordination, tactics, telesma, and underwater fieldcraft. --:> to you.
King Vestitus says, <:-- So, Old Man Thrassos has sent you after the gems, has he? I swear, he never tires of his endless games and puzzles. To that end, I will give you my gem if you perform satisfactorily in a riddle game. I have sent scouts to the surface world, and they have returned with tales of strange things, and of the differences between our world and that one. From these reports, I have constructed my riddles. If at some point you need to hear the riddle again, simply ask me to repeat, and I will try to recollect which riddle I had just asked you. I am old, and my memory is not as sharp as it used to be, so you'll have to forgive me if I forget. When you feel you are worthy, you may ask for the reward. --:>
