The amphiptere, or feathered serpent, is a variety of large snake, typically around six yares long in adulthood, with the unusual feature of a pair of birdlike wings. A less obvious unusual feature they possess is that their bite itself is not venomous, but they are capable of spitting poison for considerable distances. Amphipteres are native to the jungles of Tenochlan.
