The trait of albinism is a physiological syndrome that involves the loss of pigment from skin, hair, and eyes; this results in white skin, white hair, and eyes colored by one's vital humour -- generally winding up pink, in the blood-bearing creatures most typically susceptible to the condition. Less visibly, but no less importantly, the condition also causes a general lack of physical vitality, sapping the albino's strength and constitution, and induces a hyper-sensitivity to light, resulting in 3 points of the light sensitivity trait.
