History

Halfmoon bay began as a small settlement on the coast between Darkhold and Losthaven. Over the years its convenient position secured its continued growth into a booming port town. The introduction of the first king Oman proven to be prosperous for the town but also proved its inevitable undoing. Oman was considered slightly insane for a king but secured the towns prosperity through cunning and a heavy hand. It was with Oman's death however, that spiraled the town into an increasingly bloody feud between the children of Oman for the right to rule. With each successful generation of rulers becoming more violent and depraved than the last the town was all but shacks and boarded up warehouses by the time of the latest king Jayce. Where Oman was considered insane in a jovial sense, Jayce is considered bat crap crazy! He has locked himself in the palace and refuses to see anyone or interact with the town at all. With this lack of leadership two competing gangs have moved into the city an vie for control of the cities resources. However, with the gangs came an influx of requests for goods and services from businesses. With the increased wealth the town has once again began to flourish. The two competing gangs have settled into an uneasy truce within Halfmoon and are seen as a positive force by its citizens.

Alignment

The Alignment in Halfmoon Bay appears to be fairly neutral for all the NPC's. Gang members can be referred to by thug rather than by race or their impossible-to-type names. There are NPCs that mention guards, but no swarms of guards appear.
