Animals with one foot in the world of the dead impart on their Rangers the ability to hallow the remains of the dead. This transforms what is left of those who have passed away into its true form: entropic energy. This energy is generally restorative for the Ranger -- assuming that he has followed his familiar in affinity for deathly energies. (If not, the result can be gruesome.) It is also a Ranger's primary, often only, way of filling himself with entropic energy that he can use in other powers. To use this power, 'concentrate on the dead joining with death'.
