Lakan is a desolate otherplanar realm where lightning strikes are frequent. The constant storms and rumbling thunder have driven the local residents into a state of hysteria and near lunacy... or maybe they were that way to begin with. The usual method of entrance is through egresses out of the Exoma. But be warned: if you choose to enter, finding a way out is not as easy, and as I said, lightning strikes _everything_, including you, and it doesn't tickle!

Quests

Notable Attractions

  • Lightning rod, the top room has a portal to Storm Rock, but you have to wait some time for it to activate.
  • Many portals to different planes, location of most of them unknown (they wander?)
  • Portals to the Exoma - 3, -12, 0, plus many more
  • Portal to the River Tethys at 0, 9, 0

Notes

  • City alignment:
  • Guards assist:
  • Edges of the area wrap
  • In the center of Lakan is a lightning rod which one can climb, but of course, if anything will attract lightning, a rod will. On the whole, a place better avoided. - Pwyll ap Gwydion, Lorien 8, 522
  • Hanging out at the top of the lightning rod is the one surefire way to get back to Prime from this place, as the only portals available go to the Exoma. However, it will deposit you at the top of Storm Rock, so be prepared either to fight the Storm Walkers or to get down quickly.
  • While in Lakan you will be perpetually spiritually disjunct if you do not have enough Lightning Affinity.
  • A lightning amulet can be a great way to protect yourself against Lakan's frequent lightning strikes.
