"There is something noble in the spirit of a man who will fight for order." Father Jonathan the Grand Justicar of Tyr

The questors of Tyr are a militant sect of men and women who venerate Tyr the Even-Handed, god of justice. They range across the realms of the Prime Plane and beyond, fighting to bring order to mortal existence. They do not stand alone. The Even-Handed, himself, aids his questors in battle against the minions of chaos. The aid does not come without a price; a code exists, of which questors are forbidden from violating. The balance of power granted the questors of Tyr symbolizes the essence of the Even-Handed.

Aid

"...And upon the gathered masses fell the light of order, and routed were the enemies of the balance. Then, 'Behold!', spake a voice from the heavans, 'Before you flee the beasts of chaos. Rejoice in the word of your Lord.' And the voice was Tyr and the people did rejoice..." Excerpt from the 'Book of Light', holy book of the order of Tyr

The Even-Handed aids His questors in many ways. The first is through a strengthening of the body, which lasts so long as the questor remains pious. The god of justice also grants His faithful with increased knowledge of sword play and literacy, believing that battles of sword and pen are equally as important to the struggle of law. Tyr also provides protection to the questor through His golden amulets. To help the questors coordinate their efforts, the god of justice has gifted them with the power of communication over vast distances. Finally, He grants the questors with two unique powers which are invoked in His name.

Code

"Faith in one's self and one's deity shall overcome all trials. Only through discipline and self-sacrifice will you know peace." Kerzog the Reformed, slain champion of Tyr the Even-Handed

The life of a questor is very demanding and there are drawbacks to wielding the powers of Tyr. Tyr demands your faith, as such, you cannot worship any diety of chaos as a questor. Your nature must remain ordered or you will find yourself at the hands of Tyr's justice. Calling upon the wrath of Tyr is difficult, and impossible to do constantly. Tyr will not give his aid against a proponent of honor or righteousness, and does not condone attacks against such. For Tyr, the only way to lift the veil of darkness from this world is to strive for justice. That is his way, that is your way. For Tyr to grant any of his favors, you must display your faith in him at all times by wearing his amulet.

Mete Justice

"Garunoc got it once... once." Anonymous orc scout

The divine power of justice is seldom demonstrated more poignant then through the questors' ability to mete Tyr's wrath upon His foes. The sheer force of order which washes through one's enemy is enough to cause great. Though intended to injure and teach, this gift from the Even-Handed has been known to destroy those who are weak.

The god of justice is pleased when His gift is used in combat against the forces of chaos, and will bestow upon the questor who shows the most righteousness in dispensing this brand of justice. For the most pious of the questors awaits the Lord Questor of Tyr.

Syntax: mete justice upon <whom>

Tyr

"Communication is the key to any successful campaign; without it you might as well leave the field." Lord Marshal Strom Thromgald

The role of communication in any large scale war is of undeniable importance. The questors of Tyr are blessed with divine communion through the golden amulets of Tyr. No matter where a questor is, he or she will always be in contact with others of their order. Independant of plane of existance or location within.

Sytntax: tyr <message>

Weigh Sanctity

"Evil spreads through our land like a disease, consuming everything in its path, leaving behind artifacts of decay." Jyndex Shadowspite, ranger of the realms

Though the Even-Handed's primary focus on the Prime Plane is the proliferation of chaos, he knows that evil cannot be allowed to run without bound. The questor of Tyr is therefore granted the ability to determine the nature of items which he or she posesses.

Syntax: weigh sanctity

Accept

"Duty is rarely easy but always worthwhile." Edwin the Bold

With the responsibility of bringing justice to this chaotic existance comes the reward of divine grace. Among the questors of Tyr, this grace is honored through the Lord Questor of Tyr. To the questor who has gained the most favor of the Even-Handed is granted with the Seal of Tyr. For some, this is an honor they feel they do not deserve. Tyr recognizes this humility, leaving the choice of accepting the title of Lord Questor to each individual.

Syntax: accept lord questor [ on / off ]
