- Must have knowledge of it to be able to use it.
- Simply touch <item> with it.
- Magnitude of the glow represents the remaining charge on the rod.
- Will be consumed when the charge runs out, although an old version rod will not. There is no known way of recharging them.
- Can repair any item excluding psionic matrices.
