-=====Form Suggestions=====
- the form Projection
- Form Type : norm
- Knowledge Requirement : complete the Pzyruxal Sphere Puzzle and have a sculpture skill of 40 or higher, psychology
- skill of 50 or higher, introspection skill of 100 or higher, concentration skill of 25
- or higher and a physics skill of 80 or higher
- Facility Formula : something like 10% of intelligence plus 50% of concentration skill plus 25% of telesma skill
- plus 20% of eideturgy skill plus 10% physics skill plus 10% metaphysics skill
- Facility Minimum : 0
- Facility Maximum : (dev discretion, not sure how facility rating should scale)
- Energy Costs : three hundred points of spirtual energy and 100 points of order energy
- Process to Actualize Form : focus on projecting an external telesmatic extention of your will
-
- This form was discovered by the Aligned shoggoth Zygefgh. As a shoggoth, Zygefgh had a problem which was unique
- to members of its race - a continuous and uncontrollable rate of growth. Eventually, it realized that it had grown to such
- an enormous size that it was no longer capable of precise and subtle manipulation of smaller objects. Annoyed by its
- inability to properly study and interact with the world around it, Zygefgh concentrated hard and fought against its own
- biology in an attempt to grow a limb which would enable fine control over (comparably) small objects regardless of its
- overall mass. After many months of meditation and concentration, it occurred to the shoggoth that there were no good
- reasons why it should be held back by a mere biological handicap. After months of experimenting, and sufficient experience
- with running errands and following commands itself, Zygefgh was able to apply advanced knowledge of psychology and
- eideturgical magicks in order to manifest an external telesmatic humanoid construct. Through this projection it could
- similarly project its will onto the world around it, bypassing its unique physical limitations.
- Through patient and precise study, any aligned may repeat Zygefgh's process and create an eideturgical projection
- to assist them with experiences, studies, or even basic manual labour. By first creating a basic three-dimensional lexoth
- skeleton, one may then proceed to the more complex task of projecting one's will into the construct. This process is
- somewhat time-consuming and requires uninterrupted concentration to complete. One is essentially copying a basic fragment
- of one's intelligence into the construct. The result is a primitive but effective, featureless lexoth skeleton with
- rudimentary intelligence which will faithfully and doubtlessly follow any and all commands given to it by its creator. The
- projection has a very limited capacity to carry out certain commands such as moving a specified distance, following,
- opening containers and doors, manipulating basic machinery, picking up, holding, and dropping objects, and simple tasks such
- as moving to a certain point, picking up an object, and returning. Being a basic copy of its creator's mind, it will
- possess a natural understanding of one's natural language only. Due to the limitations of its underlying anatomy, the
- projection is unable to speak, and is therefore limited to beeping affirmatively, or buzzing negatively. Also due to the
- inherent fragility of the lexoth skeleton itself, the projection is not at all suited to combat and is prone to
- disintegration at even the slightest amount of damage.
- To actualize this form and successfully create a telesmatic projection, one need only possess proper knowledge of
- Zygefgh's original technique, and focus on projecting an external telesmatic extension of one's will. The process itself
- takes some time to follow properly, and once complete, consumes a small but constant amount of ordered and spiritual energies
- until banished, or otherwise destroyed. To banish the projection, one need only command it to begone.
-
-Zygefgh's notes:
-
-I imagine the actualization process to take maybe, 10-30 seconds with appropriate "casting" feedback messages so as to discourage
-impulsive or attempted "meat shield" use of the form in combat. The ticks of order energy per drain should be small enough to be
-manageable, probably in line with any other actualized object. There should also be a small amount of spiritual energy required
-to actualize it, but again should be manageable. The projection should be completely inept at combat of any kind, having no combat
-skills at all and almost zero hit points. It should be able to carry enough weight to be used as a small pack mule if needed, be
-able to mount creatures when commanded, and wear equipment such as rings of flight, backpacks, necklaces, etc. It should be made
-entirely of lexoth and be the same colour as the rest of an Aligned's forms. Perfection should increase the movement speed and
-maximum carry weight of the projection. Also, is it programatically possible to have any effects (either positive or
-negative) which are obtained through item manipulation by the projection, be transferred to the creator, eg: using Six?
-
-I picture the actual projection looking something like this, with purposefully artificial dimensions:
-
- This seems to be a (Aligned coloured) approximation of a non-specific humanoid skeleton. The shape and proportions seem somewhat
- inaccurate, as if it were drawn hastily on a piece of paper. Its face is entirely featureless, and it stands completely still and
- utterly silent aside from the occasional small, sparky discharge of some sort of (Aligned coloured) energy. You recognize this as
- an eiditurgical projection, a rare and strange type of assistant created by Aligned magicks.
- It looks about ten dimins tall, four dimins wide, and one dimin front to back.

What I do

Basically, I troll through the wiki and fix shit up as I come about it. As soon as I see something and say to myself, "this looks stupid", or "why doesn't it look like this?", or "why is this missing from here?", I fix it. You will see tons of edits in a row as I fly through a huge wiki-chain of pages that need to be reformatted in a uniform way, or where I find a string of general improvements.

My hope is that one day, as I do this bit-by-bit, that the wiki will look more professional and will contain less useless information.

The rest of the time I'm actually playing the game.

Development Ideas

General
  • implement a digging system
    • allow burying and uncovering of items, ie: buried treasure
      • brief room description will not reveal any indication of recent digging activity, but closer examination would reveal "disturbed earth"
    • digging would only apply to earth, mud, etc.
  • implement a mining system
    • same idea as digging as far as stashing items is concerned (recently disturbed rubble)
  • implement a stone-harvesting system based on the mining system
    • each room that allows mining would have some kind of resource attribute that would replenish after reboot
  • implement a lumberjack skill
  • implement a wood-harvesting system based on the lumberjack skill
    • each room that allows lumberjacking would also have a resource attribute that would replenish slowly over time, and fully after reboot
Player-Owned Lairs
  • apply the implemented digging and mining skills in combination with carpentry and masonry to facilitate the construction of player-created burrows, caves, and buildings
  • digging a burrow with claws or shovels, mining a cave with mining tools, building a wooden building with harvested wood and carpentry supplies, and building a stone building using harvested stone and masnonry implements, would all be considered extremely extended actions (upwards of 5 mins of real time, perhaps more depending on complexity of task and skills)
    • eg: a Rachnei digging a burrow in earth would be much easier to accomplish than a faerie building a granite keep
  • player "lairs" decay over time and require maintenance
  • implement necessary skills and systems to allow construction of "security systems"
    • locks, traps, magical wards, mercenaries, golems, etc.
Mercenary Guilds
  • create a mercenary guild or guilds, located in any number of major trade hubs, or perhaps on its own in the wild
  • allows any adventurer to recruit NPC followers of various skill level based on gold
  • take an initial deposit of gold and subsequent deposits over time based on various factors such as level, amount of kills, total distance travelled since last deposit, and player skills such as leadership, training, etc
  • cannot join player guilds?
    • not sure if this would invalidate some of the guild-specific percs of having followers from joining a guild
    • might not, since mercs would be a constant drain on resources while guild-assigned followers are free
    • standard limits apply to the number of followers you can keep and command reliably; leadership, subordination, whatever
      • maybe even a hard limit on the number of mercs you can have in your employ at a given time

(Why do you care about this?)
