The ancient forests and wild glades of the world are many, and within them dwell creatures as varied as the world itself -- large and small, meek and strong, awesome and terrible. They breed and eat and live, only to one day die, either to the hunger of another or the ceaseless march of time itself. This cycle of life and death is the very mechanism which allows nature to thrive, and from these carcass-ridden wealds step the forms of those which some dub 'forest wraiths', or skogarhoggen, as the Norskans have called them since antiquity. They are beings skeletal in form, though constructed from the mossy bones of no beasts known to Aedaris. They bear a long body with four hooved legs and a short bony tail. Where a head might be on any mundane animal instead sprouts a torso, not unlike that of a common anthrope, though atop this ribcage rests a cervine skull crowned by wickedly sharp horns. Furthermore, the arm and hand-bones attached to this body are strangely elongated, with viciously sharp claws in the place of 'fingers', which they are occasionally known to caress the remains of the recently slain with in order to absorb leftover spiritual energy.
In order to become a skogarhogg, you must have achieved the status of Legend.
