Bonding Requirements
Some amount of the Tenacity skill seems to be all that is important. There may be other skills that qualify, but even very large amounts of Discipline still failed. Since the Verynvelyrae do not offer any specialty access to Tenacity, this may be difficult to obtain. Exactly how much Tenacity is needed for this purpose is unknown at this time, but it is likely a moderate amount (30-40).
Known Abilities
The lynx is a feline predator native to the cold northern regions, and is a fierce combatant with its teeth and claws. It breathes air, has a carnivorous diet, and can see in the dark.
Combat Bonuses
The lynx grants its consort an intrinsic bonus to attack rating equal to the consort's Water Affinity skill, and one-half of Tenacity skill. Similar bonuses are granted to dodge rating and all deflection ratings. This effect applies to all attacks with all weapons and unarmed skill. Your familiar must be present in your environment to grant these bonuses.
The lynx also grants its consort bonuses to dodge rating and all deflection ratings equal to the character's Constitution attribute, Water Affinity skill, and one-half Tenacity skill.
Petting the familiar
You pet Nipper with your right hand. You sense cold energies flowing from Nipper's body into your spirit.
This provides a temporary boost to the skills Crushing Resistance, Cutting Resistance, Piercing Resistance, Water Affinity, Fire Resistance, and Heat Tolerance. It also restores one spell point.
Svadhisthana Chakra
Being bonded to a lynx opens and charges the Svhadhisthana (orange) chakra, which grants a large bonus to dexterity, numerous skill bonuses, and grants the Paraneurism trait when fully charged.
Attribute Modifications
The lynx grants its consort large bonuses to strength and dexterity, and moderate bonuses to constitution, willpower and charisma.
Specialty Bonuses
Bonus specialty degrees and access are provided as follows:
Tier 1
- Arctic Fieldcraft
- Crushing Resistance
- Cutting Resistance
- Fire Resistance

Towards the end of "very frail" bond strength:
Tier 3
Tier 4
Italicized skills appear to be favored by the lynx, with respect to bond strength, so it may be worthwhile to specialize them to a high degree.
Charms

Additional Bonuses and Powers
Traits granted
The lynx, like most feline familiars, grants a luck bonus that increases with bond strength. This starts at "somewhat frail" bond strength, at 1 point.
