List of Hellwalkers features and explanations that I'll try and explain based on my experiences and some unfounded wild guesses.
Abilities
Your veins pulse with shifting scarlet energy. {shifting scarlet}
- This happens rarely.
- (Wild guess) maybe based on being really hopped up on that demonic mojo, but really, no idea what decides this.
Affinity scaling
- most stuff scales in some way off your qlippotic/sephirotic/chaos/order affinity.
Henosis damage
- is a silly combination of qlippotic/sephirotic/chaos/order/goetia that {{shifting scarlet}existentially erases} or {{shimmering}pulses}
- Your attacks do this to targets that currently have Supernal Durability if the attack is unarmed or using a lzarawn-runed weapon
- This stops happening if you drain all of something's SD (probably)
- This will proc on special unarmed maneuvers like chi strike, and while wearing armor that covers your hands like a void/shell/parageos/et al.
- I haven't tested with piecemeal armour like the fire gauntlets you can get from Marius under Darkhold, but I don't see why it wouldn't.
- The artifact axe Dyad is eligible (and amazing (and combined with The Red Plate can let you facetank Kali at level 40 while out of endurance (though that's a terrible idea that will probably destroy your inventory and you shouldn't do it)))
- A lzarawn-runed iron greataxe (which is pretty good, though high activity cost) can load on Aldond the scary npc Hellwalker in northeast 9th floor Shadow Tower
- I've been told the ono made by the Aligned form Hell and Heaven is amazing.
Stealing Supernal Durability
- Punching something that has Supernal Durability with an eligible attack will debuff theirs and temporarily raise yours.
- This can stack across hitting different things.
- {{some bold purple color}You feel your durability being further augmented by supernal energies.}
- You can only steal so much, after which you'll just have to settle with hitting whatever it is for henosis damage.
- At 180/180/179/180 I cap out at 175 stolen from ice wraiths
- (Wild guess) How much you can steal might also depend on what you're stealing it from. If I could punch out Cthulhu to test, I totally would.
- Times out after however long without stealing some.
- (Guess) Hitting stuff that would be eligible while full probably extends the timeout.
- (Wild Guess) If what you stole it from gets cleared from your kill log you lose the buff immediately. (This guess brought to you by losing supernal durability mid-fight against several dakshin, and other similar scenarios)
Passive Bonuses
- Strength / Constitution / Willpower / Perception .. Speed
- Killing eligible things can raise things based on some criteria
- (Guessing) Asmodeans? Gods? Anything with supernal durability? Things I haven't tested because they're only eligible at lower charges than I'm willing to take time debuffing to?
- (Firm Guess) Somehow involves having them in your kill log
- Because if you kill stuff already in your kill log they tend to persist
- But killing stuff you haven't killed in a while tends to suck your bonuses dry real fast if they aren't in turn eligible
