The ability to speak and comprehend Latin, the language of the fallen Altrian Empire, the realm where advenus arose in ancient
times, and which was later torn apart in the wars of genocide waged by the humans of that empire against the advenus.  Few other
than advenus and humans even recognize it in these times, though many arcane texts were written in it by Altrian masters of magic
(advenus and human alike) before that empire fell.  Many modern advenus grow up learning Anglic and Latin side-by-side, but many
humans still regard the language with a superstitious fear.
