• You get experience mostly from killing monsters. You can also get experience from solving some puzzles (you'll usually be told when you've received experience this way) and reading books. You can get some experience for killing other incarnoi (players), but we do not want to overly encourage this, so the amount is less than with autonomoi (monsters).

• Because grouping with others and using followers results in experience for defeating opponents being shared, experience calculations are biased to reward people for doing these things by distributing more experience than would be available otherwise. There is a very substantial bonus simply for cooperating with another incarnos (player), and smaller bonuses for larger parties of incarnoi and for the participation of autonomon (non-player) followers. In addition, all of your followers will automatically transfer a percentage of their gained experience to you, depending on their subordination skill and your leadership skill.

This table gives the levels from 1 to 30 for the Adventurer's Guild. Other guilds may have different titles, but the total experience needed remains the same.
