Flux weapons are weapons which use psionic energy as a contact medium. They use the skill psycholeptesis(?) as part of their effective control. Flux weapons can have flux capacitors attached, which presumably increase their effectiveness. Unfortunately I do not know many details, so hopefully someone can fill in more blanks with factual data.

A flux weapon will attack faster then an equivalent non-flux weapon. They do not do as much damage, at least in the hands of an unskilled user. The blade, being made from energy, cannot be harmed.

Flux Rods come in multiple colours. As yet, it is not known what differences the colours make.

Only when the blade is active will it count as a weapon of it's type for any purposes. This includes keeping. There is a spirit point cost for creating the blade, but either no cost or a very small cost to maintain the blade.

Flux Sword

This steel rod, energy-focusing patterns etched into its surface, is the
handle of a flux sword, a psionic weapon. When grasped and its command word
is subvocalized, a blade of coherent psionic energy will spring forth from it.
Creating and maintaining this energy field is psychically draining to a
degree, and while anyone can bring it into being, the weapon only achieves
full effectiveness in the hands of one with the psionic skills to properly
control the field. The flux sword is returned to its inactive state by
subvocalization of another command word or when the wielder lets go of the
handle. It is in perfect condition. It looks about three fifths of a dimin
across and twelve and a half dimins long. It weighs about thirty dekans.

This silvery quartz knuckle-duster, energy-focusing patterns etched into its surface, is the handle of a flux claw, a psionic weapon. When grasped and its command word is subvocalized, a triple blade of coherent psionic energy will spring forth from it. Creating and maintaining this energy field is psychically draining to a degree, and while anyone can bring it into being, the weapon only achieves full effectiveness in the hands of one with the psionic skills to properly control the field. The flux claw is returned to its inactive state by subvocalization of another command word or when the wielder lets go of the handle. There is a raised rectangular block of metal on the knuckle-duster.

It is permeated by a silvery light. It has a few thin wisps of opalescent radiance within and around it. It is in perfect condition. It looks about two fifths of a dimin across and nine twentieths of a dimin around. It weighs about four fifths of a dekan. You appraise it at seventy-one gold. You are holding it.

You feel knowledge drifting into your mind like a long-forgotten memory, making you aware that the silvery quartz flux knuckle-duster can be activated by grasping it and

subvocalizing the command word 'halik', and is deactivated by subvocalization of the command word 'immog'.
