Lens of Insight
This is a curved clear glass lens with tiny markings etched around its circumference. These runes of knowledge make this device a Lens of Insight. Gazing at an object through one is said to bring mystic insight into its nature. It has a tracery of auroric radiance within and around it. You estimate its value at about two hundred one gold. It looks about one and a fifth dimins across and a twentieth of a dimin long. It weighs about four twenty-fifths of a dekan.
- These are for obtaining Knowledge of objects or persons seen through them.
- Lenses of Insight be used to acquire knowledge of objects worn by other characters via: l[ook at] <fooitem> on <fooperson> through lens [of insight]. This does not work for other methods of identification.
- New characters often use up dozens of these as they familiarize themselves with the world.

Lens of Analysis
This is a curved clear glass lens with tiny markings etched around its circumference. These runes of knowledge make this device a Lens of Analysis. Gazing at an object through one is said to discern knowledge of the materials and energies that make it up. It has a tracery of auroric radiance within and around it. You estimate its value at about two hundred one gold. It looks about one and a fifth dimins across and a twentieth of a dimin long. It weighs about four twenty-fifths of a dekan

Lens of Mimesis
This is a curved clear glass lens with tiny markings etched around its circumference. These runes of knowledge make this device a Lens of Mimesis. Gazing at an entity through one is said to allow one to absorb some of its abilities, without harm to it, according to the degree of simliarity between its areas of learning or training and one's own. You estimate its value at about two hundred one gold. It looks about one and a fifth dimins across and a twentieth of a dimin long. It weighs about four twenty-fifths of a dekan.
- Looking at a person through a lens of mimesis will grant some amount of skillxp in some number of skills that both you and your target know.
- Cannot be used to introduce new skills.
- Cannot be purchased anywhere, acquired only via randomload.
- Naturally, this can be circumvented if a randomload shop acquires it (eg. Dalemaar's Magic Shoppe).

Lens of Changes
This is a curved clear glass lens with tiny markings etched around its circumference. This is a Lens of Changes, a device enchanted for a very specific purpose: divining the card at the top of a Deck of Changes. Warded as those powerful artifacts are against such scrying, this takes considerable power and finesse. It is permeated by a dim shimmering radiance. It has a tracery of coruscating radiance within and around it. It looks about one and a fifth dimins across and a twentieth of a dimin long. It weighs about eleven hundredths of a dekan. You estimate its value at about eight hundred fifty gold.
- These allow you to peek at the top card of the Deck of Changes, nearly eliminating the risk from that one draw. They are extremely rare, and given the potential upsides of the deck, they are one of the most highly valued items in the game.
- Cannot be purchased anywhere, acquired only via randomload.
