Description

The bardic tradition is a long-standing, time-honoured one; the
Brotherhood of Wine and Song is not. Many denizens of the realm complain
that this organization of adventurers just exists as a reason to gather and
drink. Danilo Thann, the brotherhood's founder certainly agrees with this
popular opinion. Once questioned directly about these concerns, Danilo simply
replied: "And?".  He's pleased with the way his little brotherhood has shaped;
an organization unconcerned with politics, religion or other complex personal
ideologies. The main focus of the brotherhood is the enjoyment of life.

Special Abilities

Pocketing

There is a scourge in this land. At least according to the gospel of
Thann. Most bartenders won't allow a patron to leave with an unfinished drink--
Even one that has been paid for. Danilo doesn't like this. He teaches his
brotherhood a thousand and one ways of hiding a drink on their person without
spilling a drop.

Syntax: pocket <drink>

Restrictions

The primary requirement which the brotherhood has is that of
lifestyle.  Every brother is a wanderer by nature, or perhaps a stumbler;
the difference is academic. Any other personal commitment which a brother
makes must be compatible with the brotherhood's way of life.

The only other restriction that the brotherhood imposes is a matter
of consequence. Every brother learns quickly that it is almost impossible
to stumble effectively in full plate armour. So, of course, heavy and
restrictive armours are avoided.

You give a shot of Rumplemintz to Danilo with your right hand.
Danilo says, -- Ahh, thank you very much, lady. My favorite beverage. --
Danilo drinks his rumplemintz greedily.

You say, >>> I wish to join the Brotherhood <<<

Danilo says, -- As a Questor of Tyr, you could not become a drunkard, a hedonist or a libertine by joining the Brotherhood
of Wine and Song. -- to you.
Danilo says, [- As a Devonshire Cleric, you could not become a rogue by joining the Brotherhood of Wine and Song. -] to you.
Danilo says, "As an Apollonian Disciple, you could not become a hedonist by joining the Brotherhood of Wine and Song." to you.

Tarvern Hopping

NOTE: Removed in change 4723

Adventurers from all across the land come to Danilo to learn this
useful trick. Anyone who has ever gone out for a night of drinking knows
that at a point, a bar becomes boring. Usually by this time, said person
is too inebriated to walk to the nearest bar. Danilo has some tricks to
combat this. He affectionately calls it tavern hopping and it is a real
ingenious system of shortcuts, bribes and drunken stumbling.

Unfortunately, he has only perfected his tavern hopping to a select
few of the realms better taverns; those in Losthaven, Jhan, the
Temple of Discordia, Corna, Shadow Tower, Devonshire, and Camelot.
He may know a few more and not realize it, ask him about new taverns
and see what he knows.

He teaches each new member the tricks for Losthaven and Jhan,
but sells the other secrets for an exorbitant amount of gold coins.
He is afterall a business man.

Syntax: adjourn to <tavern location>

Note: The command 'show known tavern locations'
      or 'show known taverns'
or simply 'show taverns' will provide you with a list of known tavern locations.

You are familiar with the following tavern locations: Losthaven, Jhan, Camelot, Halfmoon Bay,
Camille, Temple Of Discordia, Og, Yathryn, Darkhold, Sanctuary, Devonshire And Corna.
