Stages of Addiction

  • Stage 1: The taste of melange still fresh on your tongue, you feel its effects throughout you, strengthening your senses and rejuvenating your body.
    • Logged Event: You feel a subtle current pass through you, like a slow building of impetus toward an unknown goal, and you have the feeling of being more aware of, connected to, yourself and the cosmos around you.
    • Stage Length: Approx. 100 minutes (needs confirmation)
  • Stage 2: You feel that you are beginning to hunger for melange.
    • Logged Event: You begin to feel minor twinges of pain throughout your body due to the time it has been since you have partaken of melange.
    • Stage Length: Approx. 100 minutes.
  • Stage 3: You notice twinges of pain throughout your body as it begins to suffer from melange withdrawal.
    • Logged Event: The twinges of pain due to your melange deprivation are becoming more noticeable.
    • Stage Length: Approx. 100 minutes.

The above has been confirm across three characters. In all, if you want to try for melange, you can expect the spice to work its way through your system in approximately 10 hours, so buckle up!

Maintaining Your Addiction

  • Taking the pure stuff (vials of melange extract) when you get the twinges.
  • Taking the street stuff (lumps of melange) when you get the twinges.

Psionic races will get a 100% chance of a permanent talent pop, but may or may not become addicted anyway.
