Your character's "emotions" are a set of "atmospheric" commands that give simple messages, generally with no in-character effects. 'help emotions' tells you how to find out what emotions are available and how to use them, while 'help adverbs' and 'help prepositions' give details on different elements of the workings of the system.
You also has two "freeform" emoting abilities, the emote and the emit. 'help emote' and 'help emit' give information on these functions.
Using any emotion (inluding 'emote' and 'emit') to communicate using normal language is illegal, and will not be tolerated.
Example:
'smile hi there John, how are you today? I am fine.'
...is illegal. Whereas:
'emit point to my parched throat and then to my empty money pouch'
...is perfectly legal.
