Hidden Skill

This skill represents the infusion of an essence of the amalgam alkali into the
substance of one's body, reducing the harm caused by such forces, potentially even
to the point where exposure becomes restorative.  This is also true, to a lesser
extent, of entropy, elemental water and earth, and the amalgams mud, salt, eskara,
ice, ash, and shadow. One further gains the capacity to store a reserve of amalgamal
alkali energy, in proportion to one's degree of affinity, should one have access to
sources of it.  However, the greater an affinity for alkali one develops, the more
vulnerable one becomes to the amalgam acid, and to a lesser degree extropy, the amalgams
smoke, ooze, and crystal, elemental fire and air, and the amalgams thunder, metal, and heat.
